**Welcome to Klocke Estate** Klocke Estate will be home to exceptional earth-to-glass brandy & immersive world-class hospitality that reflects the spirit of the Hudson Valley.

We are in the final stages of completing our bar and restaurant space and are beginning to build a team of passionate individuals to provide our guests with unique, immersive, and educational experiences that leave a lasting impression.

Servers deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests while upholding the highest standards of service. By providing outstanding customer service and showcasing their passion for hospitality, servers play a key part in ensuring that our guests have a truly exceptional dining experience.

**Role & Responsibilities**
- Help set up, maintain, and break down the restaurant floor and stations for service. Help to promote a safe and clean environment for co-workers, and guests.
- Cultivate a comprehensive knowledge of the food and beverage items and their preparation in all active spaces within the building.
- Develop a comprehensive knowledge of our service standards and style as detailed by the Employee Handbook.
- Greet and welcome guests upon their arrival, ensuring a warm and friendly atmosphere. Present menus to guests and provide detailed explanations of menu items, including daily specials and any recommended wine pairings.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
- Maintain tables by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses and being alert to guest needs.
- Process guest payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash and electronic transactions.
- Serve alcoholic beverages only to guests over 21 years of age. Check ID’s of anyone who appears to be under the age of 30. Get your manager involved if needed.
- Monitor restaurant and kitchen flow regarding timeliness during service and assist when and where necessary.
- Maintain effective communication with all teammates.
- Ask for help when you need it. Asking for help is a sign of strength, not a sign of weakness.
- Complete weekly cleaning duties, in addition to opening and closing duties.
- Take regular bar tests & quizzes, that encourage personal & professional growth & development.
- Focus on always continuing your education and into all facets of our operations, be it the Bar, Kitchen and Service, Brandy programs.

**Service Standards**
- Show up for your shift on time and ready to work, dressed appropriately and with any tools pertaining to your position.
- Know the table numbers and position numbers in all sections of the restaurant.
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of our POS’ operation.
- Gain and understanding of how to troubleshoot operational issues as they arise.
- Comply with sanitation standards and procedures according to health and legal regulations.
- Maintain a reasonable schedule with flexible availability, including early mornings or late nights, holidays, and time for all staff meetings and tastings.

**Additional Skills & Responsibilities**
- Exudes excellence in hospitality for all employees and guests.
- Effectively communicates in written and spoken English.
- Proactive in their communication with the management team.
- Ability to define and effectively solve and deal with a variety of changing situations under stress.
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to resolve conflicting interests with the goal of obtaining cooperation.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

**Preferred Experience**
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar position in a high-volume and/or fine-dining restaurant.
- TIPS Certification required upon hire.

**Compensation & Benefits**
- The hourly pay for the Server is $25/hr plus tips
- Medical, Dental and Vision benefits
- Up to 10 Days Paid Time Off for full-time employees

**Physical Demands**
- The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing, for 4 to 10 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours. These physical requirements may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations.
