The Heart Therapy Studio is a private practice setting created by Isa Reser, a Marriage and Family Therapist and Clinical Supervisor who specializes in facilitating alternative modalities for therapy with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families.

We are in search of associate level marriage and family therapists, social workers and clinical counselors to join our dynamic team. We serve clients who are located in Santa Cruz and the surrounding areas. We offer evidence
- and strengths-based approaches to support clients in alleviating suffering and acute mental health issues, and in focusing on creating more of what is helpful and meaningful for them in their daily lives.

AMFTs, ASWs and APCCs provide a variety of clinical supports to our community. Should you join our team, you would work with a variety of clients ranging in age and diagnostic criteria within the mild to moderate spectrum of acuity. You would be supported in building a private practice and learning a breadth of different modalities and approaches to treatment under the guidance and supervision of Isa Reser.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Provide psychotherapy to sliding scale and Medi-Cal insured clients on a weekly basis, including but not limited to: individual therapy, couples & family therapy, and youth therapy.
- Learn and become efficient in using Simple Practice software for scheduling, notes, treatment planning, billing, Telehealth, client communication and website profile.
- Maintain CAQH every 30 day cycle.
- Complete all required clinical documentation and administrative paperwork (billing) in a timely manner.
- Maintain a caseload of clients, with productivity goals as assigned by supervisor in order to meet the program’s goals.
- Maintain enough evening & weekend scheduling flexibility to maintain a caseload to agreed upon levels.Conduct outreach for new referrals from the community. Follow up on referrals as needed.
- Maintain a Psychology Today profile, and bring in clients when possible.
- Attend clinical trainings to maintain scope of competence in psychotherapy best practices.
- Attend weekly supervision and continue licensure track following California BBS guidelines
- Maintain good standing with the California BBS and insurance contracts as appropriate.
- Stay current with updated research and best practices for psychotherapy, and for treatment of co-occurring disorders.
- When client consent permits, collaborate with the client's care team.
- Follow legal and ethical guidelines relating to all aspects of therapeutic practice.
- Maintain strict confidentiality pertaining to psychotherapy clients.

Qualifications:

- AMFT, ASW or APCC
- Must have a current registration number with the BBS.
- Must be willing to become credentialed with Carelon (behavioral health Medi-Cal).
- Current or recent professional experience conducting psychotherapy.
- Experience working with children & adolescents preferred.
- Autonomy and effective skills for tracking tasks, learning and managing an outpatient caseload, and determining and managing own schedule.

Current Openings

Part time W-2 (goal of 20+ client hours per week)

Our work is primarily in person, and Isa requires in person sessions for clients when clinically indicated.

Compensation

$40.00 - $60.00 per client hour, depending on experience
