Material Handler

**Job Duties**:

- Responsible for maintaining order, safety, and cleanliness in the lab and other production areas
- Ensures all safety protocols and policies are understood and upheld
- Assists with stocking and filling lab produced products for both retail and wholesale. This will include but is not limited to: The Ceramic Shop liquid and dry products, stains, and kiln wash.
- Process and fulfill all web, retail, and school orders in a timely manner.
- Responsible for the inventory and familiarization of raw materials as well as ensuring that supervisor is informed when it’s time to re-order
- Responding to customer technical questions in regards to shop products and material handling procedures
- Performs other related duties as required including working closely with all departments in a professional manner.

**Skills and Qualifications**:
Product Knowledge of raw materials and glaze formulation. Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision. Comprehend and implement our safety material handling requirements. Problem Solving, Documentation Skills, Listening, Phone Skills, Analyzing and recording Information, Organized, Multi-tasking.

**Physical Demands**: This position involves constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing and standing for at least two consecutive hours at a time. Must be able to lift 50lb clay boxes everyday. May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching and climbing ladders, and handle dry material with proper precautions / Customer service focused / Enthusiastic, friendly and energetic with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service/ High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred, ceramics background ideal.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
