Peer Support/crisis Specialist

Shifts:
- 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, or 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Full-time Sunday through Thursday OR Tuesday through Saturday
- Part-time Friday through Saturday OR Sunday through Monday
Pay: $19.80/hr to $23.85/hr
**Duties**:
- Utilize a specially equipped van to promptly respond to mental health crises in the community, providing timely and effective support.
- Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings and conduct verbal de-escalation and physical interventions as needed to ensure a safe environment during crisis responses.
- Assist in on-scene assessments, offering counseling and support to members in crisis and aiding in the development of personalized intervention plans.
- Draw upon personal recovery experience to engage and validate members' lived experiences during crisis intervention.
- Educate members about local community supports and resources, offering real-time assistance and referrals.
- Participate in team meetings and provide verbal de-escalation and physical interventions when necessary to maintain safety during crisis responses.
**Qualifications**:
- HS Diploma or GED
- Valid CA license
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- 1 year in Mental Health/Behavioral Health preferred
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.80 - $23.85 per hour
