Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and a compassionate veterinary Receptionist, vet assistants and a kennel person to join our newly built veterinary hospital in Roseville.

As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and support to our clients and their beloved pets.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's appointment calendar
- Provide accurate information regarding services, pricing, and policies
- Maintain client records and update patient information in the system
- Assist veterinary staff with administrative tasks as needed
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming
- Process payments for services rendered
- Coordinate prescription refills and communicate with pharmacies
- Assist with animal restraint when necessary

Qualifications:

- Previous experience as a Veterinary Receptionist or in a similar customer service role is preferred
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, procedures, and medications is a plus
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with veterinary practice management software
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations with professionalism and empathy
- Passion for working with animals and providing exceptional care to pets and their owners

Veterinary assistants:

Responsibilities include:

- Checking patients in
- Taking patient history
- Providing estimates for treatment plans
- Dispensing prescription medications
- Performing venipuncture and IV catheter placement
- Taking X-rays
- Restraining animals during procedures
- Handling animals with care and compassion
- Providing general pet care
- Clean and sterilize veterinary equipment
- Anesthesia and patient monitoring

Kennel Person:
As a kennel person, your primary responsibility is to ensure the well-being and comfort of the animals in your care. Your duties may include:

- Feeding and providing water to animals according to their dietary needs and schedules.
- Cleaning and maintaining kennels, cages, and animal living areas to ensure a clean and sanitary environment.
- Providing exercise and mental stimulation through playtime and enrichment activities.
- Monitoring the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff.
- Administering medications and treatments as directed by veterinary staff.
- Assisting with grooming and basic hygiene tasks such as bathing and brushing.
- Interacting with animals to provide socialization and companionship.
- Following safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of animals and staff.
- Assisting with intake and discharge procedures for animals entering and leaving the facility.
- Providing support to veterinary and administrative staff as needed.

Overall, the role of a kennel person is vital in ensuring the health, comfort, and happiness of the animals in your care while they are away from their homes.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
