American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring NRP, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and ACLS certifications in a Level II nursery setting.
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Current ACLS certification required
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring experience required
- NICU experience required
- Experienced Labor nurse background required
- BSN preferred
- Acute care facility experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Labor and Delivery unit within an acute care medical center with Level II intensive care nursery services
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 6:15 PM to 5:45 AM
- Scheduled for 36 or 48 hours per week
- Labor experience required, with Postpartum experience preferred
- Eggplant colored scrubs required unless provided by facility
- Delivers coordinated nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards and the nursing process
- Supervises and directs activities of assigned nursing staff and coordinates care with other disciplines
- Collects and analyzes patient assessment data to determine diagnosis and care plans
- Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers to deliver safe and compassionate care
- Provides patient and family education and participates in discharge planning
- Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will be automatically declined
- Candidates with a prior adverse licensure action will not be considered
- Accepts local candidates with no radius restriction, as local rates match travel rates
