The Senior MDM Data Steward serves as the authoritative steward for patient and provider domains for master data across the Enterprise Data Platform, providing leadership for the operational governance, quality, and integrity of enterprise identity data. This role owns the stewardship framework supporting patient and provider master records and is accountable for ensuring that Enterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI) patient global identifiers and MDM provider global identifiers within the Silver (conformed canonical) layer remain accurate, complete, traceable, and trusted for analytics, reporting, regulatory compliance, operational decision-making, and AI-driven use cases.
Operating with a high degree of independence, the Senior MDM Data Steward leads identity resolution activities, establishes and maintains stewardship standards, and exercises judgment in the review and disposition of complex match, merge, and identity exception scenarios. In partnership with Business Data Owners, Data Governance leaders, and source-system stakeholders, this role influences stewardship practices, promotes data quality accountability, and drives continuous improvement of master data management processes.
The Senior MDM Data Steward also owns the maintenance and ongoing governance of patient and provider business glossary terms, data quality rules and definitions, lineage context, stewardship procedures, issue records, and related governance artifacts within Snowflake Horizon Catalog. Through active monitoring, analysis, and stewardship leadership, the role ensures critical business and technical metadata remains current, actionable, and aligned with enterprise data governance standards and strategic data management objectives.
