Plant Manager, Sand & Gravel Operations (Dredge)
Location: West of Houston, TX (on-site)
Compensation: $120,000–$135,000 base + 15% annual incentive bonus
Relocation: Full-service relocation assistance available
Schedule: Monday–Friday

The Opportunity
As Plant Manager, you'll be the top leader at a dredge-based sand and gravel operation supplying the Houston construction market. You'll report to the District Production Manager, lead a team of about 10 salaried and hourly employees, and own safety, production, quality, maintenance, and financial performance for the site.
What You'll Do
- Lead all safety, health, and environmental programs, and ensure full MSHA and regulatory compliance.
- Manage production, quality control, inventory, and product mix to meet customer and specification requirements.
- Oversee dredge, wash plant, and material handling operations, including maintenance planning.
- Develop and manage operating budgets, capital requests, cost goals, and forecasts.
- Support mine planning, site development, resource recovery, and reclamation.
- Direct purchasing, contracts, and expenditures in line with company policy.
- Hire, lead, and develop a high-performing team.
- Build positive relationships with the local community and government agencies.
What You Bring
Required
- 5+ years of plant management experience, preferably in sand and gravel, aggregates, or mining
- Working knowledge of MSHA regulations and a strong personal commitment to safety
- Solid understanding of aggregate processing and equipment
- Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and asset management
- A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record (a company vehicle is provided)
- Proficiency in MS Office
Preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (strongly preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Mining or Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Experience with mine planning, reclamation, and TxDOT or specification-grade production
- The role is primarily outdoors in all weather, with dust and noise levels up to 85 dB.
- You must be able to walk rough terrain, climb ladders and stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- New hires attend a mandatory in-person orientation at the company's Texas corporate office. Eligible travel is reimbursed.
