Precision of New Hampton, a family-run and financially strong manufacturing company, is seeking a knowledgeable Automotive Technical Specialist with strong expertise in transmissions and torque converters.
This is an office-based position focused on providing technical support and training to our customers while helping strengthen our internal team’s knowledge. This role offers excellent long-term career growth, including future opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stay current on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in transmission rebuilding and torque converters
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers over the phone
- Train and support internal employees on technical knowledge and procedures
- Update company literature, guides, and training materials
- Attend industry conferences, trainings, and events as a company representative
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of the Transmission Rebuild process and related components
- Solid understanding of Torque Converters (in-depth expertise is a significant advantage)
- Excellent verbal communication skills — able to clearly explain technical information to customers and team members
- Strong customer service mindset and professional phone presence
- Willingness to relocate to New Hampton, IA (if not already living nearby)
