Distribution Underground General Foreman

Job TitleJob Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide direct supervision and technical guidance to Linemen, Apprentices, and GroundmenCoordinate all on-site operations, including crew mobilization, work planning, and equipment setupEnsure safety protocols are communicated, understood, and enforced at all timesManage materials, tools, and equipment required for daily operationsRead and interpret site plans, electrical drawings, blueprints, and scopes of workCommunicate effectively with Construction Managers, Project Managers, and other stakeholdersOversee adherence to project schedules and assist in planning and budgetingUtilize or be open to learning digital tools and mobile technology for job site efficiencyMaintain a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction, productivity, and crew moraleJob RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentPrior experience leading underground utility distribution crews is requiredGroundwork experience in utility construction is essentialStrong understanding of electrical distribution systems and construction practicesAbility to read and interpret blueprints and utility specificationsExcellent communication, organization, and leadership skillsComfortable collaborating with all levels of the organizationMust be willing to: Travel long distances on short noticeWork extended hours, nights, weekends, and overtime as neededWork outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rainMust pass a background check, drug and alcohol screening, clearinghouse, and MVR checkValid driver's license required; CDL preferredPhysical RequirementsMust be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularlyMust be able to climb poles and structures using proper climbing gear for extended periodsFrequent physical activities include standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reachingAbility to perform repetitive hand and arm movements and operate hand tools and mechanical equipmentWork involves exposure to high-voltage systems, confined spaces, heights, and noisy environmentsMust have close visual acuity to perform detailed inspections and tasksAbility to work at elevated heights and in proximity to energized equipment using required PPEMust be physically fit to perform pole-top rescue operations and emergency response activitiesWorking ConditionsWork is conducted outdoors in all types of weather, including inclement conditionsSubject to hazardous conditions typical in electrical utility environmentsMust be flexible to travel to various job sites and remain on location for extended periods when neededPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn at all timesKey AttributesSelf Motivated
