Description:
Construction project managers oversee commercial/industrial building projects to ensure they satisfy client demands. They supervise construction workers, consult architects and engineers, create budgets, order supplies, and work with government officials to ensure buildings and structures meet city, state, and federal codes. Specific duties include:
- Leading construction progress meetings
- Overseeing design development
- Preparing and managing project budget and schedule
- Reviewing schedules
- Cost projections
- Contracts
- Project status reports
- Communicating effectively with superintendents, general contractors, subcontractors
- Knowledge of estimating techniques
- Cost control and material pricing
- Ensuring all necessary permits and easements are obtained
- Proven ability to manage projects up to $10MM
