Role Overview:
Responsible for coordinating and delivering Occupational, Physical, and Speech Therapy services, overseeing clinical care in inpatient and outpatient settings. Develops and supervises therapy programs aligned with departmental goals.
- Conducts self-assessment, seeks ongoing professional development, and shares knowledge with colleagues.
- Builds rapport and collaborates effectively with interdisciplinary teams, patients, families, and diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Communicates clearly with team members and patients using verbal, non-verbal, reading, and writing skills.
- Seeks and provides professional feedback for continuous improvement.
- Applies logical reasoning to identify problems, analyze data, and develop solutions.
- Maintains adherence to policies, safety, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Supports staff training, mentoring, and departmental development activities.
- Evaluates patients’ performance, develops individualized treatment plans, and adjusts interventions based on ongoing assessments.
- Prepares documentation, assists with discharge planning, and recommends adaptive equipment to optimize patient function.
- Promotes evidence-based practices and participates in departmental activities and quality initiatives.
- Coordinates therapy services, manages logistics, and maintains effective communication across the team.
- Manages departmental budgets, staffing, and ensures staff meet productivity standards.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy or equivalent.
- Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy or higher preferred.
- Licensed Physical or Occupational Therapist required.
- Experience: Five years of clinical practice preferred.
