Build the sales team behind Southern California's finest homes

Our clients are building custom homes where the windows and doors are the defining features: walls of Fleetwood glass, LaCantina folding systems, Marvin windows specified by the architect. Priority has supplied these projects for 45 years. Now we're under new ownership and investing in growth, and we need a sales leader to build the strategy and the team that gets us there.

About Us

Priority Doors & Windows is a San Diego dealer of high-end residential doors and windows, representing brands including Fleetwood, Marvin, Euroline, and LaCantina. Our showroom is high-end, premium, and one of the largest in the state, where architects, builders, designers, and homeowners can see and operate the products before they specify them. We supply; we don't install. Our customers work with their own installers, and we make sure they get the right product, specified correctly, delivered on time.

The Role

This is a player‑coach role. You'll develop Priority's sales strategy and lead the team that executes it, while carrying your own accounts and earning commission on your own sales. How much you sell personally is flexible. If you bring your own relationships, you'll build on them; if not, you'll build your book from scratch, and you may receive some inbound leads. You'll lead our inside sales team of three, who handle incoming leads, and build our new outside sales function: reps who prospect architects, custom builders, and designers in person, with no inbound leads. You'll recruit, train, and coach both, and set the process they follow.

The Challenge

Our reps sell complex, high-value packages through long sales cycles with multiple decision-makers. Order accuracy and margin matter as much as volume, because a mistake on a custom door package is expensive. You'll need to grow sales while tightening process, reporting, and accountability. And you'll do it in a small company, where leaders are hands‑on every day.

How We Work

We're a small team with ambitious growth goals, and how we work together matters.

  • Honest and accountable. We hold each other to high standards, value feedback from each other and our customers, and don't shy away from tough conversations that help us grow.
  • Trusted and autonomous. We don't babysit each other. We give people room to do their jobs, and in return we expect everyone to own their work.
  • Customer-focused. Our customers are making big decisions about their homes, and we treat them that way.
  • Ambitious and technology-forward. We've set lofty growth goals, and we're investing to hit them, including custom AI-powered software to optimize our sales process.
  • Friendly and collaborative. We help each other win, and we have fun doing it.

As Sales Manager, you'll set this standard for the team: you'll model it, coach to it, and hire for it.

What You'll Do

  • Develop Priority's sales strategy with ownership, and lead its execution
  • Lead, coach, and hold our inside sales team accountable
  • Build our outside sales function: hire the reps, design the prospecting process, and ride along in the field
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard new reps
  • Champion new tools and processes, including our custom AI-powered sales software, and drive the team's adoption of them
  • Carry your own accounts and close your own deals

What You Bring

  • At least two years leading or managing a sales team in the door and window industry (required)
  • A track record of hitting revenue targets through a team
  • Strong personal selling ability with high-end residential customers
  • Experience building sales processes, forecasts, and performance reporting
  • Comfort being hands-on in a small company
  • Ability to travel locally for customer and field visits. A valid driver's license, access to a reliable insured vehicle, and an acceptable driving record are required. Business mileage is reimbursed.
  • You give direct feedback, address problems early, and build a culture of accountability
  • You welcome new tools and processes, including AI, and can lead a team through change
