Responsibilities:
Supervises IT Managers across Information Technology, GIS, and Mail Services. Oversees day-to-day operations while facilitating progress toward objectives and daily support services. Manages department administration, including payroll, budgeting, personnel, technology research, contracts, projects, and customer interactions. Assists the Director with strategic planning, contract negotiation, vendor relations, and conflict resolution. Collaborates on technology requirements with the Director and administrative authorities to determine project scope, priorities, systems capacity, and equipment needs. Establishes technology priorities by reviewing long-range plans for the County. Approves technology purchases and hardware installations while defining standards for all computer hardware and software alongside IT managers. Coordinates with department managers to plan, organize, prioritize, and evaluate the work of assigned teams.
Working hours:
Primarily 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday. Hybrid workplace options are available.

Columbia, Missouri
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and five years of personnel management experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience; Must have experience in the delivery of technology services and personnel management. Excellent written and oral communication, organizational and analytical skills, ability to multi-task, and customer service skills are required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of server administration, database systems, end-user application support, development/production environments, computer networks, user security, backup and recovery, and email systems. Exposure or experience with VMware, IBM i, MS SQL Server, MS Active Directory, Web Servers, and ESRI software are also a plus. Experience in a government setting is a plus.
Salary Range:
$97,094 - $100,027
