Ocean Export AgentAn Ocean Export Agent specializes in freight forwarding, focusing on the exportation of goods via ocean transport. This role encompasses managing logistics processes such as carrier bookings, shipment tracking, documentation preparation, and customer communication. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively are essential to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance with relevant regulations.
Ocean Export Agent ResponsibilitiesCoordinate the exportation of goods by ocean, including carrier bookings and managing transportation logistics.
Prepare and process required documentation, such as AES filings, commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
Track and monitor shipments, providing regular updates to customers on shipment statuses.
Manage customer relationships, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction throughout the logistics process.
Collaborate with internal departments, such as logistics, finance, and operations, to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
Ensure compliance with customs regulations, trade laws, and other relevant legal requirements.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Ocean Export Agent RequirementsPrior experience in freight forwarding or logistics, with a strong focus on ocean exports.
Proficiency in preparing shipping documents and filing AES.
Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with logistics software is a plus.
Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are a plus.
