General Summary:
Develops, defines, and executes plans of record, including: schedules, budgets, resources, deliverables, and risks. Monitors and drives the program from initiation through delivery, interfacing with internal and external stakeholders across functions on technical matters, as needed. Monitors budget/spending, on-time delivery, and achievement of program milestones. Represents the program and drives alignment across stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 10+ years of Program Management or related work experience.
- Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
- PMP Certification.
- 15+ years of Program Management or related work experience.
- 4+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization.
- 4+ years of experience with program management tools such as dashboards, Gantt charts, etc.
- 3+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Vice President level and above).
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Translates external stakeholder needs, product roadmaps and organizational strategy into successful programs, and drives decisions necessary for program delivery by partnering with program sponsors and organizational leadership.
- Manages and takes responsibility for multiple large programs/technology/portfolios of varying complexity with significant impact on the organization by applying up-to-date and innovative program management best practices.
- Develops, guides, manages the execution of, and reviews program Plan of Record (e.g., on time, on budget, within scope) for multiple large programs with significant impact on the organization; this includes schedule and resource forecasting, stakeholder identification, method and frequency of communication, scope, and prioritization.
- Fully owns all key program metrics, including updating them as needed based on technical, roadmap and organizational needs; influences the priorities of teams as necessary, and applies appropriate leadership style to overcome both technical and organizational challenges.
- Identifies and secures internal/external resources ensuring alignment to program/technology and organizational demands for large programs or portfolio.
- Makes recommendations, advises, implements risk management strategies, and reviews risk mitigation plans for multiple large programs or a portfolio of programs with significant impact based on knowledge of organizational strategies.
- Validates business cases and determines relevance to organizational strategy; provides guidance in creating the program roadmap to ensure roadmap direction is followed.
- Drives and presents program vision across portfolio and influences executive leadership to ensure buy-in from stakeholders.
- Leads and drives the design, development and implementation of new and innovative Program Management processes; identifies the need for new processes to increase organization efficiencies and profitability.

- Making decisions that are significant in impact, influencing overall program or project success, finances, and/or the ability to meet objectives; errors are not readily apparent due to the complexity of work process/product or time between decisions and results; errors typically result in significant expenditure of time, resources, and funds to correct.
