Creative Producer
Storyby is an entertainment tech-company that creates, validates, and scales entertainment content on international reading and streaming platforms. In the ecosystem of Storyby there is StorybyWriter (a publication platform with 60,000+ authors), AlphaNovel (a platform for reading novels and immersive audiobooks with 6 million users) and DramaShorts—a vertical streaming platform with film production in Europe and the USA, which has 5 million users monthly and the title Best Streaming or Media Service by The Webby Awards 2026. In total, Storyby content is read, watched, and listened to by over 10 million people worldwide. We are now looking for a Creative Producer.
We are building a team of showrunners who lead vertical series from idea to final editing, and we are looking for a person who will turn each of their films into a story that is impossible to stop watching.
What you will be doing:— Take full ownership of assigned films and be responsible for their creative result at all stages—from idea to release;— Develop concepts and stories for vertical series: from idea and synopsis to episode breakdown and finished script;— Build the season's drama—story and romantic arcs, conflicts, emotional peaks, hooks, and cliffhangers—so that the viewer stays with the story until the end;— Work with scripts: give feedback, edit, and bring the material to the desired level;— Accompany the film during editing and post-production—review editing versions, give edit notes, and control the pace, drama, emotionality, and integrity of the story;— Conduct final creative QC to ensure the finished film meets the original concept and content standards;— Work closely with screenwriters, producers, editors, and other creative teams;— Analyze vertical series, short-form content, and market trends and turn these observations into new content solutions;— Analyze audience reaction and content metrics after release and use these learnings in subsequent titles;— Use AI tools to develop, iterate, and create content.
What is important to us:— You have 2+ years of experience in scripted content—screenwriting, creative/content production, story development, film, series, or digital content;— You have a strong foundation in drama: you understand the structure of the story, conflict, character and romantic arcs, pacing, hooks, and cliffhangers;— You can evaluate a script, see problems in the story, formulate specific feedback, and control the implementation of edits;— You understand editing and post-production at a basic level—you can review an edit, assess pacing, logic, emotionality, music/SFX, and give clear edit notes (you do not need to edit independently);— You have an ownership mindset—you are ready to independently lead an assigned film from script to final edit, control deadlines, and the quality of your area of responsibility;— You see the story through the audience's lens—you understand that it must not only be "good" but also keep the viewer's attention, and you can assess the strength of the hook, emotional moments, and cliffhangers;— You can work with feedback—you do not hold on to your own decision, you can argue your position and change it if another decision is stronger;— You communicate comfortably cross-functionally—with screenwriters, producers, editors, and other teams;— You have English at the B2+ level—you can work with English-language scripts and conduct work communication.
It will definitely be a plus:— Experience working specifically with vertical dramas, microdramas, or short-form scripted content;— Experience in performance marketing/creative marketing or close work with the marketing team—understanding why some hooks and creatives convert better than others;— Experience with: Google Workspace, Notion, Slack; ChatGPT/Claude/Gemini or other LLMs; tools for reviewing and commenting on video;— Understanding content metrics: retention, completion rate, watch time, conversion/paywall;— Experience using AI tools in working with scripts or content;— Knowledge of ReelShort, DramaBox, ShortMax, and understanding the specifics of vertical drama;— Understanding of the US audience and entertainment content.
