The Judge Group's direct client in the financial services industry is seeking an experienced \"Java Developer\" in McLean, VA 22102 (Tysons), and this is a Hybrid role.
Job Title: Java Developer
Job Location: McLean, VA 22102 (Tysons)/ Hybrid.
About the Role:
Join the Tracker team, responsible for building and maintaining secure, high-quality applications that support payment preparation and tracking. You will contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of scalable backend solutions in a collaborative Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test new application features with a focus on quality, performance, security, and reliability
- Develop backend services using Java and Spring Boot
- Build and maintain REST APIs and third-party system integrations
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality solutions
- Participate in code reviews and promote coding, security, and quality best practices
- Troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and resolve production defects
- Contribute across the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Leverage AI-assisted tools for design, development, and testing activities
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Evaluate technical solutions and provide implementation estimates
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot
- Experience designing and integrating systems using REST APIs
- Knowledge of HTTP and TCP/IP based applications
- Experience working with XML and JSON
- Strong debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with databases, storage technologies, and RHEL/Linux environments
- Experience with Agile tools such as Jenkins, JIRA, Artifactory, and Confluence
- Exposure to AI-assisted development and testing tools
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and DevOps practices
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and collaboration skills
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
- Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript
- Understanding of security technologies such as PKI, HMAC, AES, SSL, and digest algorithms
