Logistics Coordinator (Temp-to-Hire)
Join a growing steel manufacturing operation as a Logistics Coordinator This role is ideal for someone with experience in logistics, shipping, receiving, transportation coordination, or manufacturing operations who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys keeping materials, schedules, and deliveries running smoothly.
Schedule
- Monday-Friday
- 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
- Temp-to-Hire Opportunity
- $24-$26
- Coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities to support production schedules.
- Schedule and track inbound and outbound freight.
- Communicate with carriers, vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding shipments and delivery schedules.
- Maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory records.
- Prepare and review bills of lading, packing slips, and other transportation documents.
- Monitor material flow to ensure production and customer delivery deadlines are met.
- Assist with inventory control and reconciliation activities.
- Resolve shipping discrepancies and transportation issues in a timely manner.
- Previous experience in logistics, transportation coordination, shipping/receiving, dispatching, or manufacturing operations preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or steel environment is a plus.
- Background check required
- Drug screen required
- Reliable attendance and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
