Warehouse Associate – 2nd Shift
Location: Arden, NC 28704 Pay Rate: $19.83/hr total ( $17.83/hr base + $2 shift differential)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM–12:30 AM
- Sunday overtime may be available
Contract Duration: 1 Year Overview
The Warehouse Associate supports order fulfillment and material movement within a fast-paced distribution environment. This role is responsible for picking, packing, shipping, receiving, inventory handling, and operating powered material-handling equipment while maintaining a clean and safe warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Pick, pack, label, weigh, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Operate forklifts, stock pickers, reach trucks, and electric/manual pallet jacks.
- Load and unload freight safely and efficiently.
- Verify shipment quantities and inspect incoming and outgoing materials for damage.
- Perform order induction, repackaging, strapping, sorting, and staging.
- Complete warehouse paperwork and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Perform battery changes, charging, and basic daily equipment inspections.
- Assist with physical inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas using 5S standards.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and operational instructions.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience operating forklifts, stock pickers, and reach trucks required.
- Experience with powered and manual pallet jacks.
- Knowledge of warehouse material handling, inventory control, and safety procedures.
- Basic math and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
- Ability to stand and walk throughout an 8+ hour shift.
- Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist.
