Seasonal Part-Time Position with Department of Public Works

The Borough is seeking a dependable and motivated individual for a seasonal, part-time position with the Department of Public Works (DPW), beginning immediately and continuing through the end of the winter season. The position performs routine manual labor and maintenance duties in support of Borough roads, parks, public grounds, facilities, and municipal operations. Responsibilities may include leaf and brush collection, general seasonal cleanup, snow and ice removal assistance, grounds and property maintenance, road and drainage maintenance, loading and unloading tools and materials, cleaning and basic upkeep of Borough facilities and equipment, and assisting DPW staff with various maintenance and repair projects. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, able to perform physical labor outdoors in varying weather conditions, and be dependable and able to follow instructions and work as part of a team. A valid New Jersey driver's license is preferred. Prior landscaping, maintenance, construction, snow removal, or public works experience is helpful but not required. This is a temporary, seasonal, part-time position with hours based on Department needs. The hourly rate is $20.00 per hour.
