Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray for an acute care hospital, requiring ARRT certification and at least 1 year of experience.
Details
- Acute care setting in the General X-Ray department
- General X-Ray department with 3 rooms, 1 urology room in OR, 5 C-arms, and 3 portables
- Patient population includes emergency, routine outpatient, inpatient, and OR studies
- Average of 150 scans/studies per day across the department
- Uses Meditech Expanse EMR and Philips PACS system
- Equipment includes Dell, Canon, Shimadzu, Siemens, GE, and OEC machines
- 8-hour day and evening shifts with varied start/end times during the week
- Possibility of some midnight shifts on weekends
- Every other weekend rotation required
- No floating to other departments required
- No IV starts required
- No call or standby requirements
Requirements
- ARRT and BLS (AHA) certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience required
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Daytime Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech available, but not on all shifts
- In-house radiologist available
- Department is in process of hiring Registered Radiology Assistants (RRAs)
- One holiday coverage per assignment maximum
- Scrubs provided in any color except purple
- Approximately one week of unit-specific orientation typically provided
