Downtown Counseling Services is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our remote team. Work Environment

This position offers a full-time remote working arrangement, enabling you to provide vital services to seniors throughout San Antonio, Texas, from the comfort of your home. Our work setting fosters flexibility and allows for a balance between professional commitments and personal responsibilities. While the standard work hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, some evening and weekend availability may be possible depending on client needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ psychosocial needs, considering their emotional, mental, and social conditions.
• Develop and implement personalized care plans in collaboration with clients and their families, taking into account their unique circumstances and preferences.
• Provide counseling services that facilitate emotional healing and resilience, helping seniors navigate life transitions such as health changes, loss, or relocation.
• Serve as a strong advocate for clients, ensuring they have access to necessary community resources including financial assistance programs, healthcare services, and social support groups.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of client progress and treatment plans in compliance with relevant regulations, ensuring best practice standards are upheld within our clinic.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses entirely on senior clients, addressing their diverse challenges ranging from mental health issues and social isolation to navigating healthcare services. As a member of our dedicated team, you will be instrumental in guiding seniors and their families through complex situations, promoting their overall well-being and enabling them to live fulfilling lives.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• A minimum of two years of professional experience as a social worker, with a clear focus on geriatric care or within a community health setting.
• In-depth knowledge of social work practices, aging-related issues, and the community resources available for seniors.
• Strong assessment and counseling skills are essential, along with the ability to adapt methodologies to suit individual client needs.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams, facilitating collaboration among healthcare professionals to develop integrated care solutions.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems to streamline documentation and improve service delivery.
• Background in crisis intervention and conflict resolution techniques, particularly in scenarios involving vulnerable populations.

Compensation and Benefits
