Work EnvironmentThis position is entirely remote, allowing you flexibility and convenience in your work-life balance. While you will primarily interact with clients in a virtual setting, you will also be part of a close-knit team dedicated to mental health advocacy. Our outpatient office setting promotes a proactive approach to mental health, focusing on accessibility and community-oriented services. You will have access to electronic health record (EHR) systems to manage client information efficiently and carry out documentation with minimal administrative burden.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Remote Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day activities will include:
- Providing comprehensive clinical services to clients through virtual sessions, ensuring a safe and supportive space for healing.
- Developing and implementing individualized, recovery-based treatment plans tailored to each client’s goals and needs.
- Conducting ongoing assessments to evaluate clients’ progress and treatment effectiveness.
- Guiding clients in building essential life skills, such as coping mechanisms, problem-solving strategies, and effective communication.
- Educating clients about available community resources and advocating for their access to services.
You will be working primarily with adults who face various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment disorders. Your role will entail understanding their personal circumstances and helping them navigate their journey toward recovery and independence. Our clients often require tailored support to manage symptoms and integrate into the community successfully.
QualificationsTo thrive in this role, candidates must possess:
- A Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
- A current state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Psychologist (PsyD) is mandatory.
- The ability to practice independently without supervision and a clear disciplinary record.
- Strong interpersonal and empathetic skills that enable effective client rapport.
- Proficient computer literacy and reliable internet access to facilitate virtual counseling.
While not mandatory, candidates with prior experience in the following areas will be highly considered:
- Direct clinical practice in mental health settings, particularly with diverse populations.
- Competency in utilizing electronic health record systems.
- Experience in developing treatment interventions and monitoring client outcomes effectively.
- Familiarity with local community resources and services.
