This full-time remote position offers a competitive salary range of USD 75,000 – 100,000 annually, along with a sign-on bonus. You will be instrumental in delivering quality mental health care to individuals navigating co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

Work Environment

As a member of our remote telehealth facility, you will engage with clients through a variety of virtual platforms, capitalizing on technology to provide empathetic and effective care. Although primarily remote, you will be part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team, participating in regular virtual meetings and case discussions to ensure cohesive treatment approaches.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health and substance use histories, utilizing standardized assessments and clinical interviews to identify co-occurring disorders.
  • Develop tailored treatment plans in collaboration with clients, integrating evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to meet their unique needs.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that focus on enhancing coping mechanisms, relapse prevention strategies, and emotional regulation techniques.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary team members, including psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists, ensuring that care is coordinated across all facets of treatment.
  • Engage in regular monitoring of client substance use and apply motivational interviewing techniques to inspire and support recovery efforts.
  • Educate clients and their families about the complexities of co-occurring disorders and foster an understanding of the treatment process for better compliance and outcomes.
  • Maintain diligent documentation of all interactions, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Participate actively in case conferences and staff training sessions to stay informed about advancements in treating co-occurring disorders.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily involves working with a diverse patient population struggling with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Our clients may range from young adults to older individuals, each facing unique challenges that require a nuanced understanding of their specific situations. Your empathetic approach and clinical expertise will directly influence their recovery journeys, helping to break the cycle of dependence and foster resilience.

Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current, valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.
  • Proven proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities pertinent to co-occurring disorders, such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT).
  • Demonstrated capability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams and robust interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Experience
  • Minimum of two years of experience working specifically with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and techniques, optimizing virtual engagement and therapeutic effectiveness.
  • Experience conducting group therapy sessions and leading educational workshops for clients and families.
