Work EnvironmentThis position is fully remote, enabling you to work from a location that is most comfortable for you. Top Point Counseling Clinic offers a supportive and flexible work environment where you can establish your own schedule. You will primarily engage with clients through video and text-based therapy sessions, utilizing an advanced therapy platform that simplifies administrative tasks and enhances client interactions. Our outpatient office setting allows you to focus on your therapeutic approach without the overhead of in-person logistics.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Remote Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting individual counseling sessions via video chat to support clients in improving their mental well-being.
- Encouraging open discussions about emotions and personal experiences to foster individual insights and relational understanding.
- Acting as an advocate for clients, assisting them in defining personal goals and identifying pathways to achieve them.
- Evaluating clients' mental health conditions and creating tailored treatment plans grounded in established psychological methodologies and evidence-based practices.
- Providing ongoing support and evaluations to track client progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary.
Your clientele will consist of carefully screened adults with low acuity, ensuring that you engage with stable individuals who are seeking support for various emotional challenges rather than severe mental health disorders. You will have the flexibility to select client demographics that align with your expertise and comfort zone, allowing for a more personalized therapeutic experience. Additionally, our clinic ensures unlimited referrals, reducing the time and effort spent on marketing while allowing you to focus solely on your clients.
QualificationsTo be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Current and unrestricted license to practice independently without supervision, specifically as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
- Proven ability to perform professional evaluations, make informed treatment decisions, and follow through with implementation plans.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach towards clients.
- Proficiency in using technology for therapy sessions and documentation.
While not mandatory, candidates with prior experience in remote counseling or utilizing telehealth platforms will be advantageous, owing to their familiarity with digital therapeutic strategies. Experience in motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), or other recognized methodologies will further enhance a candidate's suitability for this role.
