Holloman Air Force Base, United States Amentum Full time

Amentum is seeking an **Aircraft Worker (EGRESS)** to support out Aerial Targets Program located at **Holloman AFB, NM** .

**Responsibilities**

Assists mechanics in depot repairs and performs intermediate level repairs associated with the aerial targets.

+ Performs maintenance/operational duties in accordance with operating instructions or Air Force Publications.

+ Assist in modification development, including documentation and modifications.

+ Duties may include ground handling, munitions, egress, life support, chute/drogue systems, servicing, power plant and airframe maintenance.

+ Must be familiar with egress/munitions forecasting, time change requirements, and maintenance management systems, while adhering to applicable Air Force Publications.

+ Typical work may include- Packing/repair of chutes, life support equipment, launching of aircraft, configuring aircraft, rigging, repair of fuel system, hydraulics, pneumatics, surface repairs, and trouble shooting other mechanical aircraft systems, using appropriate technical data and tools.

+ Reads and interprets appropriate manuals to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.

+ Input maintenance actions in aircraft forms or other maintenance system/forms required by the Air Force.

+ Other duties may include work associated with the full-scale and subscale aerial targets requiring lesser technical ability and support requirements.

+ Performs maintenance and other duties (incidental and related tasks within their classifications) assigned by supervisor. Will provide technical guidance to equal or lower-level personnel.

**Minimum Education and Experience Required**

+ Must have completed Egress technical school. AFSC 2A6X3 or equivalence.

+ Previous mechanical experience with a basic understanding of aircraft operation.

+ Military Fighter Aircraft maintenance experience desired, but not required.

+ Overtime and weekend may be required.

+ **Security Clearance** : Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a US Government Security Investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance throughout duration of employment.

**Compensation**

This position is represented by a union collective bargaining agreement (CBA) with an hourly rate of pay at $39.70.
