Requirements: Job Responsibilities Review and analyze individual and business tax returns for accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws. Ensure all tax documentation is complete and accurate before filing deadlines. Identify potential tax issues and provide solutions or recommendations to mitigate risks. Collaborate with tax preparers to clarify and resolve discrepancies in tax documents. Verify all deductions, credits, and exemptions claimed on tax returns. Stay updated on current tax regulations and industry trends impacting tax compliance. Assist in preparing for tax audits and liaising with auditors as needed. Provide guidance and support to tax return preparers in the review process. Maintain organized records of all reviewed tax documents and correspondence. Communicate effectively with clients to explain tax return findings and recommendations. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent certification. Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax preparation and review. In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations. Proficiency in CCH tax preparation software or other similar programs such as Ultra Tax and TaxAct Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience in reviewing various tax returns, including individual, corporate, and partnership. Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
