As a BlueHalo RF Systems Test Engineer, you will be a key member of an integrated team operating in a very innovative environment. In this role, you will design and execute test plans that validate the performance and reliability of RF systems-from individual PCB circuits to fully integrated deployments. Your expertise in developing robust test methodologies, capturing key performance data, and performing detailed failure analysis is essential. Key Responsibilities

  • Test Plan Development & Execution:
    • Design, develop, and implement comprehensive test plans and methodologies to evaluate RF performance metrics.
    • Create test setups for both PCB-level circuits and complete RF systems, capturing indicators such as frequency response, signal integrity, power output, and noise figure.
  • Data Acquisition & Analysis:
    • Utilize industry-standard RF test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators) to execute testing protocols.
    • Integrate SQL database tools for logging and analyzing test data, and use MATLAB for data analysis, simulation tasks, and detailed failure analysis.
  • Troubleshooting & Documentation:
    • Use Altium and other interfaces to assist in test setup, validation, and troubleshooting.
    • Perform thorough failure analysis, document issues, and collaborate with design teams to resolve system anomalies.
    • Develop comprehensive test reports and maintain accurate documentation of procedures, results, and corrective actions.
  • Continuous Improvement & Equipment Maintenance:
    • Propose enhancements to test setups, processes, and automation to increase efficiency and repeatability.
    • Stay current with RF testing methodologies and ensure all test equipment is maintained and calibrated according to industry standards.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in testing RF systems, from PCB circuits to fully integrated systems.
  • Strong knowledge of RF performance metrics and testing methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with RF test equipment (e.g., network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators).
  • Experience with SQL database integrations for test data logging and analysis.
  • Proficiency with MATLAB and familiarity with Altium or similar test design and analysis tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with automated test equipment (ATE) and proficiency in scripting languages for test automation.
  • Background in RF system design and integration.
  • Experience working in high-volume production environments with rigorous testing standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Salary Range: $90 - $175k
