About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional/Caregiver to join our team at Continental Post Acute, LLC. As a key member of our care staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support and care to individuals with developmental disabilities in a home setting.

Responsibilities:
Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, dining, and communicating their needs.
Implement resident care plans based on assessments and goals established by the care team.
Treat residents and their families with respect and dignity, identifying and addressing their psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and religious/spiritual needs.
Function as a resident advocate, protecting their rights and demonstrating creativity in solving problems.
Provide services that promote social, emotional, intellectual, developmental, and cognitive growth, while supporting each resident's Individual Program Plans (IPP) objectives.

Requirements:
Must possess and maintain sufficient strength, agility, and endurance to perform job duties.
Will perform a variety of physical activities including standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, gripping, grasping, keying, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
Constant hearing, seeing, and speaking are required, with occasional running, climbing, kneeling, traveling, squatting, sitting, and balancing as needed.
Must be able to drive a motor vehicle and possess a valid CA driver's license.

Working Conditions:
Daily interaction with residents who may display aggressive and/or self-injurious behaviors.
Ongoing communication with family members, co-workers, and public entities.
Potential exposure to communicable diseases, blood-borne pathogens, and other conditions common to a day training environment community home setting.
