Civil Structural Designer - Akron, Ohio - JOB 25-01645 Salary Range: $45K - $80K Permanent Position with Benefits. Akron, Ohio engineering firm is seeking to hire an entry to junior level Civil Structural Designer with knowledge of the design and layout of structure foundations, steel framing, concrete/wood/light gage metal/masonry framed structures. REQUIREMENTS High School Graduate, GED, Vocational School and/or higher-level education Associate, vocational school or other technical school is a plus Proficient AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D or other CAD software is needed with a willingness to learn Read technical drawings and specification to draft detail structure foundations, steel framing, concrete, wood, light gage metal and masonry framed structures Familiar with build codes is a plus Past surveying experience with knowledge of project elevations and control points using level and/or total station equipment is a plus Must have excellent communication skills (written & verbal) Microsoft Office (Office, Word, Excel) experienced. Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen. Only U.S. Citizens or persons with a Green Card work permit may apply.
