Responsibilities:
- Greet all members enthusiastically in the Fitness Area, Fitness Desk, & Welcome Desk.
- Develop relationships, provide assistance, and be responsive to member needs.
- Champion consistent communications. Wear and use walkie talkies during shifts.
- Model and enforce the J's policies.
- Promote and educate members on the J's programs, services, and activities offered.
- Schedule Health and Fitness Orientations.
- Maintain a clean, safe and orderly Fitness Center. Keep towels stocked and folded. Conduct locker room, sauna, and steam room checks.
- Ensure members have good experiences by performing daily checks on all audio, electronic and fitness equipment. Notify maintenance of any issues by J's designated practices.
- Complete all tasks outlined in Daily Tasks Communication Binder, as well as additional responsibilities assigned by management.
- Be a great team player to peers. Provide break relief to the Welcome Desk Staff when needed.
- Know your stuff Attend all department and required meetings.
- Complete all personal administrative responsibilities, such as accurate payroll records.
- Ability to work non-traditional business hours

Requirements
Education:
- High School Diploma
- CPR/AED certified (provided if needed, must obtain within 60 days of employment)
- Know proper emergency procedures for the center
- Previous community center, health club, fitness, or customer service experience a plus.
- Fitness Center/Community Center environment
- Ability to lift a minimum of 10 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time/hours in a same shift
