About the job Controls Engineer - Albuquerque

We have an exciting opportunity for a Controls Engineer in our Albuquerque, NM office. This position is responsible for executing controls engineering project requirements that include PLC programming, HMI/SCADA programming, control panel design, instrumentation specification, check-out support, and commissioning assistance. You will play a key role in ensuring project success through effective communication, technical writing, and engineering design and implementation.

Skills
  • PLC, DCS, and/or SCADA/HMI design, development, and deployment experience
  • Strong leadership and client relation skills
  • Good engineering and documentation practices

Responsibilities
  • Project execution, including task identification, prioritization, and scheduling
  • Early problem identification and conflict resolution
  • Continuous improvement of methodologies and project execution tools
  • Direct communication and interaction with clients
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations and codes
  • Technical writing for project definitions, status reports, and other documentation
  • Engineering design, development, and implementation of control systems
  • Support factory/site acceptance testing, user acceptance testing, and user training
  • Read, interpret, and update technical documentation related to projects
Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree in engineering or related discipline (Electrical, Chemical, Controls, or Computer Engineering preferred)
  • 3+ years of directly related experience in process control and/or manufacturing
  • Preference for candidates with Rockwell and Cimplicity experience
  • Strong documentation and engineering practices
  • Valid drivers license and ability to travel up to 25%
Education Requirements
  • BA/BS degree in engineering or related discipline (Technical degree and equivalent experience may be substituted)

  • 3+ years of directly related experience in process control and/or manufacturing

1. Do you have a BA/BS degree in engineering or related discipline (Electrical, Chemical, Controls or Computer Engineering degree preferred). Technical degree and equivalent experience may be substituted

2. Do you have 3+ years of directly related experience in process control and/or manufacturing and/or information services

3. Do you have Rockwell and Cimplicity experience given preference

4. Do you have PLC, DCS, and/or SCADA/HMI: design, development, and deployment experience

5. Do you have Good engineering and good documentation practice. Experience (or willingness) using collaboration tools (such as SharePoint) to work effectively within remote teams.

6. Must have a valid drivers license and ability to travel up to 25%

7. Must either be local or have ties to the area

8. Do you have Diverse Process Knowledge: Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Water & Wastewater etc. - Strongly-preferred Specific Needs:
