We got our start over 125 years ago when Joseph Lodge founded the Blacklock Foundry in South Pittsburg, TN. His scrappy, hardworking spirit continues to lead us today. As a team, we believe cast iron is for everyone. And while we're always on the lookout for ways to innovate, we believe in the adage: If it ain't broke, don't fix it. That's why we stand by a simple recipe of just iron and oil (no forever chemicals, since forever). It's also why we're passionate about keeping our campus in our hometown of South Pittsburg, Tennessee, providing great jobs to our community. A Day in the Life of a Sr. Operations Analyst
As a Sr. Operations Analyst, you'll play a key role in shaping and driving operational improvements throughout the organization. This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify operational inefficiencies, implement solutions, and improve workflows. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to monitor performance, measure results, and optimize processes to align with Lodge's strategic goals. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with various departments to analyze operational data, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the efficiency of operations.
- Provide detailed analysis and reports on business performance to senior leadership.
- Conduct root cause analysis for operational issues and develop actionable solutions.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving operational processes.
- Support the implementation of new systems, tools, and technologies to streamline operations.
- Develop and maintain dashboards for real-time operational insights.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure on-time and within-budget execution.
- Assist with forecasting and resource planning to support business objectives.
- Provide guidance and training to junior analysts and team members as needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in operations analysis or related field.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.).
- Strong project management skills with experience in process improvement initiatives.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of operations management and process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
- Experience with ERP systems and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
