Job Description Civil Litigation Attorney Position Overview : We are seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney with 2 + years of experience to join our dynamic legal team. Key Responsibilities: * Manage all aspects of civil litigation, including case strategy, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and settlement negotiations. * Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other court documents. * Attend hearings, mediations, and arbitrations. * Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel. * Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on case strategy and trial preparation. * Maintain organized case files and meet court deadlines. * Handle multiple cases with efficiency and attention to detail. * Provide case evaluations and risk assessments to clients. * Assist in negotiating settlements and resolving disputes effectively. * Prepare witnesses and experts for depositions and trial testimony. * Stay up to date on relevant case law and legal trends affecting practice areas. * Ensure compliance with court rules, procedures, and ethical obligations. Qualifications : * Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing with the State Bar. * 2+ years of civil litigation experience. * Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills. * Experience managing cases from inception to resolution. * Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Trial experience is a plus but not required.
