Your opportunity:
As a Principal Manufacturing Engineer in Advanced Integrated Systems for Greenheck Group, you will provide leadership and expert technical support to optimize factory costs, quality, and customer service through the conception, development, and implementation of new or improved manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, material flow, plant layout, and/or product design. You will be responsible for mentoring, training, indirect supervision of other team members, or you may have direct reports. This position is recognized as subject matter expert corporate-wide in press brakes and panel benders and its automation. For this role, you must be able to work on-site at one of our following locations: WI, NC or OK.

What you'll be doing:

  • Coach, mentor and provide subject matter expertise for training initiatives related to advanced metal forming manufacturing processes, with a primary focus on press brakes and panel benders and its automation. A background in robotics automation and integration is a plus.
  • Plan, specify, and justify multi-year strategic capital expenditures, which may include Board of Director level projects.
  • Provide technical expertise and leadership for other engineers and production team members as it relates to manufacturing processes and equipment, including new technology and processes. May work with equipment vendors and internal resources to find solutions and long-term strategies.
  • Leadership in recognizing, recommending and validating changes to improve manufacturability. Mentor others and/or implement changes with product design engineering.
  • Identify and implement improvements to material utilization and machinery efficiency and serve as a corporate-wide expert.
  • In addition to mentoring, may analyze and make recommendations using summarized data to influence key management decisions relating to budgeting, staffing, and capacity planning.
  • Lead and support safety, 5S, and Lean initiatives. Expected to complete internal Lean Leader and Lean Champion certification.
  • Will provide mentoring and/or training in a hands-on classroom in area of expertise with indirect supervision of other team members or may have direct reports.
  • Manage corporate-wide and business unit projects, involving individuals from various departments to ensure integration between manufacturing, sales, finance, marketing and product engineering.
  • Support production and manufacturing to optimize quality, productivity, on-time delivery, and operational efficiencies resulting in improved customer satisfaction.
  • Support production and manufacturing quality management system and policies.
  • Maintain knowledge of new technologies that are appropriate in either product development or in manufacturing processes to improve the company's competitive position.
What you should have:
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in engineering is required.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • 4 Year / bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
  • CAD skills required.
  • General fluency in SAP is preferred.
  • Strong Lean experience is preferred.
  • Should possess advanced experience in plant layout.
  • Experience in fabrication equipment and its automation (ie; press brakes, panel benders and stamping systems).
  • Knowledge with press brake programming and its automation is preferred.
  • Robotics automation and integration experience.

  • Preferred location is Schofield, WI, but open to considering candidates who are located near our Shelby, NC, Tulsa, OK, or Knoxville, TN locations.
  • 10 - 25% travel will be required for this role.
Compensation & Benefits
Greenheck Group takes pride in providing competitive total compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package as part of our total rewards program. The compensation for this role includes base salary along with the opportunity to earn additional variable compensation based on achieving specific performance metrics. The starting base pay range for this position is $110,518 - $136,169 and may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
