Innovative Therapies Group is looking for the right Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our growing family. We are a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team (PT/OT) focused on each patients experience and outcome, using innovative technologies, forward thinking practices, teamwork and patient respect. We are a therapist owned private practice. Our Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant is responsible for the following responsibilities: * Implement treatment plans provided by our Occupational Therapists who are Certified Hand Therapists. * This position requires experience or a passion for upper extremity, orthopedic diagnosis, working directly with a Doctor of Occupational Therapy in our Hand/Upper Extremity clinic in Lady Lake/Wildwood. * Adheres to professional standards of practice and Occupational Therapy Association Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice. * Provides documentation to maintain quality of the medical records as it relates to reimbursement guidelines, accuracy of billing information and Facility requirements. * Confers with the Occupational Therapist in regard to changes in the plan of care, patient status, care and progress. * Creates a safe, positive and supportive environment with the patients. * Promote a professional environment that is friendly and welcoming to everyone. * Participate in a culture of teamwork. * Display a willingness to go above and beyond to ensure each patients satisfaction and outcome. * Follows administrative policies and procedures related to emergency procedures, infection control and safety. We have four Occupational Therapy locations in Florida, Ocala (Horse/Biking/Boating Country), Summerfield, Lady Lake and The Villages (Wildwood). We have a middle-age to geriatric patient population. Our focus is on Upper Extremity Orthopedics and you will be working with Certified Hand Therapist's. Innovative Therapies employees are a unique group, very different than other therapy clinics.
