ABOUT THE POSITION
Reporting to the Chief Program Officer, the Program Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of mental health programs serving Yolo County. They must be a strong financial manager and leader experienced with budget oversight, collaborative partnerships and staff development. The Program Director is always looking for new ways to improve the families being served, implementing new quality services that support the mission, vision and values of Stanford Sierra.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Executive Leadership and Oversight
- Serve as a member of the agency leadership team and actively participate in all meetings, events and discussions.
- Ensure programs comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and contractual obligations.
- Represent SSYF and its programs before county, state, and federal agencies as well as through attendance at and participation in community teams, workgroups, and professional organizations.
- Perform all duties in a manner consistent with the principles and values SSYF, while adhering to applicable professional codes of ethics, policies and procedures, contractor requirements, and regulatory requirements.
- Work collaboratively with all agency programs and staff to provide support as needed.
- Participate in on-going training to expand and develop professional skills.
- Responsible for the overall design, implementation, monitoring, modification, and evaluation of mental health programs.
- Provide supervision, training and support to managers, supervisors and advocates within the program. Includes BBS Clinical supervision for BBS registered staff.
- Implement new and innovative services to better meet county and family needs.
- Maintain a keen awareness of the needs of the community served by SSYF and make program adjustments accordingly.
- Oversee all financial transactions involving the program budget including negotiating and securing contracts and other funding.
- Write and present proposals for various county, state, and federal agencies, including County Children's Mental Health, and Child Protective Services.
- Utilize multiple funding streams including Medi-Cal (EPSDT) funds, County funds, and funds acquired through development efforts.
- Recruit and supervise program staff in all aspects of their work and take disciplinary action, including termination, as required.
- Licensed for 2+ years as an LCSW/LMFT/LPCC/LEP required.
- Completed a minimum of 15 continuing education hours (CEUs) of approved clinical supervision training to the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS).
- Minimum 3+ years' experience as a program director or manager in child welfare, juvenile justice, or mental health required.
- Master's Degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience in non-profit organizations and programs preferred.
- Experience in community-based alternatives to residential care preferred.
- Experience with Evidence Based Practices (EBPs) preferred.
- Experience with grant writing and contract negotiations preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, community partners, consumers and all levels of management.
- Capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing projects and assignments effectively.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment within program/department and agency wide.
- Experience in a mobile, fast paced environment.
SALARY & BENEFITS
This is a full-time in-person position located in Woodland, California. Salary Range is $95,000 - $150,000 and an excellent benefits package.
