Teaching: Teach nontraditional and traditional students both undergraduate and graduate courses in information technology, interdisciplinary studies, including but not limited to organization, workforce, and leadership studies, as well as teaching and training methods. Teach courses online, on campus (San Marcos), and off campus; advise students as needed; participate in curriculum development including online courses; participate in undergraduate prior learning assessment (PLA); serve on graduate exit committees. Required weekly office hours, and presence at the San Marcos campus on a regular basis for departmental meetings, events, recruitment and outreach activities. Service: Assist BAAS Coordinator with advising and mentoring students. Service may include engaging in activities at the department, college, and university level that build relationships with other university departments, local businesses, and community organizations as well as participating in professional organizations. Research: Research is optional for instructional faculty but research that supports teaching and learning in information technology is feasible. Positions are subject to availability of funds. Required Qualifications: Earned masters degree in information technology, information systems, information science, computer science or similar field. Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. in information technology, information systems, information science, computer science, engineering, or similar field. Experience creating online, asynchronous, or synchronous courses. Experience teaching and/or service in information technology or a related technology discipline. Experience advising and/or mentoring students.
