Major manufacturing company seeks an EHS Manager for their Greenville, SC area plant. Excellent company who has a great track record for being pro-active towards Safety. This position is 90% safety related. 500+ employee plant. Will have 2 direct reports
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement safety training programs for employees to ensure a culture of safety awareness and compliance.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Analyze workplace environments, processes, and equipment to identify potential hazards and recommend effective corrective actions.
- Develop strategic plans to minimize risks and enhance safety protocols across all operations.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure that environmental practices align with legal standards and sustainability goals.
- Keep abreast of new safety legislation and best practices to continuously improve safety policies.
- 5+ years of experience in environmental health and safety management.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental laws.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage and inspire the team.
- Proven ability to develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills to assess complex safety issues
- CSP is a plus
