Farnsworth Group is seeking a Project Landscape Architect in either our Tinley Park, Lisle, or Chicago, IL office. In this role, you will have the responsibility for executing the design concept of a project through construction documents. The PLA must understand and keep an eye on the big picture, while simultaneously being entrenched in the details. The success of a project relies on the clarity, completeness, accuracy, and overall quality of our project documents.
Job Activities:
- Assist with the planning, design and permitting of landscape architecture, civil engineering, land development and planning projects.
- Prepare site work cost estimates and zoning analyses.
- Determine the feasibility of projects based on the analysis of collected data.
- Write and review draft reports, including feasibility studies, proposals and technical specifications.
- Plan, schedule and develop task and project budgets.
- Prepare progress reports and draft change orders.
- Perform and manage multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines; minimize write-offs by keeping projects on budget.
Specific Requirements include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program.
- Professional Landscape Architect (PLA).
- 8+ years of related professional experience.
- LEED AP or similar sustainable accreditation preferred.
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Capability to self-motivate and work productively without supervision required.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and organizational skills required.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit all levels of personnel and management.
- Desire to work in a collaborative team environment.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $100,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity).
