We are currently hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer for a growing aerospace manufacturing company in the Greater Seattle area. This is a long-term project with an expected duration of 6+ months.
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the integration of electrical systems for crew rest, galleys, closets, lavatories, or IFEC into monuments.
Senior Electrical Engineer responsibilities include:
Coordination with manufacturing and procurement organizations until the full realization of the product cycle is achieved. Support of estimating RFQ activities.
System research, customer coordination, integration with mechanical designers and manufacturing.
Create and check wire diagrams, design control panels, LRU electrical integration per ARINC 810 (Standard for Physical Interfaces), ARINC 812 (Standard for Data Interfaces), and Design to D6-55698.
Perform electrical load analysis and provide documentation associated with certification activities.
Define/Design Electrical System and Architecture.
Define/Design Electrical Interface.
Define/Design Electrical Control Panels.
Design of Block Diagrams.
Design of Wire Diagrams.
Design of electrical wiring of system.
Design of Wire drawings (wires, pins, and connector selection).
Development of electrical test plans/reports and functional testing.
Create Electrical Load Analysis Reports.
Design to ARINC 810 (Standard for Physical Interfaces).
Design to ARINC 812 (Standard for Data Interfaces).
Design to D6-55698 (Boeing Galley Specification).
Parts List Creation.
Preferred education and experience:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or similar field of study.
5+ years' experience in a design-build environment.
Experience with D6-54446 Chapter 20 Standard Wiring Practices Manual, to ensure wire routing, and electrical installations to ensure compliance with FAA standards.
5+ years' work experience in aerospace, space, or defense.
SolidWorks, Catia, or similar.
This position must meet (ITAR) export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Pay: $70/hr-$90/hr
Saxon benefits include no-cost medical coverage, prescription coverage, mental health benefits, 401k with employer match, and WA paid sick time.
