The Salon Manager is responsible for ensuring their spa location is running at the highest possible level of efficiency, monitoring and controlling costs, maximizing revenue and profitability. OBJECTIVES
- Deliver Outstanding Customer Service: Ensure every client receives exceptional service and leaves satisfied with their experience. Promote a culture of hospitality, address and resolve client complaints, and ensure a great experience for each client.
- Recruitment and Staffing: Anticipate turnover, conduct screening and interviews, and recruit talented salon staff members who meet mandatory position requirements.
- Achieve Sales Targets: Lead and align team efforts to surpass revenue targets, enhance client loyalty and retention, and drive growth in line with the company's vision and objectives.
- Performance Evaluation: Facilitate, track, and evaluate daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance, setting goals for Sales Consultants accordingly.
- Performance Management and Training: Conduct one-on-one meetings, performance evaluations, and provide training and guidance to sales consultants. Conduct coaching and corrective actions in line with company policy.
- Develop Future Leaders: Cultivate a high-performance culture through continuous staff development and mentorship, focusing on nurturing future leaders, including the ASM.
- Promotional Activities and Implementation: Distribute promotional material, ensure the salon executes new rollouts and embraces best practices, and lead the team through changes.
- Leadership and Teamwork: Communicate and implement company initiatives, policies, and processes, provide leadership, and foster a positive team environment.
- Foster Team Relationships: Cultivate a positive and cohesive team environment where members feel valued, motivated, and supported.
- Lead by Example: Set high standards of performance and behavior for yourself and inspire team members to follow suit.
- Maintain Positive Attitude and Resilience: Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and resilience in the face of challenges, while remaining open-minded and adaptable to learning from mistakes.
- Celebrate Team Wins and Provide Feedback: Acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of team members, no matter how small, and provide constructive feedback to support their growth and development.
- Work Schedule Optimization: Prepare work schedules for all salon staff members to ensure workflow demands are being met and/or exceeding sales goals and to ensure that all shifts are covered where and when necessary while avoiding overtime.
- Other Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the company.
- Product & Service Knowledge: Has a thorough understanding of, or ability to quickly learn, tanning and spa services, customers, procedures, and policies
- Customer Focus: Demonstrates a commitment to meeting client needs and exceeding their expectations.
- Team Building: Ability to foster strong relationships with team members through effective communication, empathy, and support.

- Time Management & Sales Analysis: Ability to effectively plan and organize work schedules to meet operational needs and sales targets. Skill in analyzing sales data and trends to forecast demand and allocate staff resources accordingly.
- Data Analysis and Feedback: Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret sales data to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement. Skill in providing clear and constructive feedback to team members based on sales performance metrics.
- Goal Setting and Performance Management: Ability to establish clear, achievable goals for team members and provide ongoing evaluation and support to help them succeed. Skill in providing individualized coaching, feedback, and guidance to support staff development and growth.
- Industry Knowledge: Thorough understanding of tanning and spa services, procedures, and policies.
- Problem-Solving and Leadership: Strong problem-solving skills, leadership abilities, and the capacity to mentor and motivate a team.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to collaborate with team members and executives, and work effectively under pressure.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Windows, Google Suite, and similar software programs.
- Adaptability and Accountability: Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment, attend meetings, complete required training, and respond to team communications outside of standard office hours.
- Emotional Intelligence: Understanding and managing one's own emotions, as well as those of others, is crucial for building strong relationships, resolving conflicts, and fostering a positive work environment.
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Business Management or related field preferred
- 3+ years of experience working in a salon or spa required
- 4+ years of experience in progressive leadership required
- Prolonged periods standing, walking, bending, or kneeling
- Prolonged or intermittent periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs at a time
- Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the salon, access all parts of the salon equipment, and move safely in confined spaces

Pay: $21-25/hr + commission + incentive
