Transportation Associate

The base pay for this position is $24.00/hr plus $2/hr shift differential between 6PM-6AM The Wayfair Transportation & Delivery team strives to continually delight our customers by providing the fastest, most reliable, most convenient delivery options for all things home. The Transportation Execution team helps bring this to life by building and executing repeatable, scalable processes as goods are transported from our suppliers to our customers, all while embracing Wayfairs entrepreneurial creative and fun atmosphere. Available Schedules: Sunday - Wednesday 5:30PM - 4:00AM Wednesday - Saturday 5:30PM - 4:00AM Benefits (Start Day 1) Referral bonuses Overtime hours & pay Weekly pay (Fridays) 401k Wayfair company discount Benefits start day one Growth opportunities (Conversions, Promotions, and more) What You'll Do Assess loading quality of truckloads in our middle mile network, including utilization, load securement, and packaging damage. Build strong partnerships with our fulfillment teams to drive improvements in loading practices. Communicate directly with our truckload and small parcel carriers to adjust schedules, ensure on time pickup, and manage delivery performance. Update Manhattan TMS with truckload movements and milestones. What Youll Need 2+ years of experience in a warehousing or transportation function - experience in dispatching or trailer loading are a plus Ability to walk the cross dock floor and physically inspect trailers for load quality, including climbing stepladders Strong written and verbal communication skills Track record of building collaborative relationships and ability to partner with managers in other departments Ownership mindset and ability to be a self starter Assistance for Individuals with Disabilities Wayfair is fully committed to providing equal opportunities for all individuals, including individuals with disabilities.
