JOB OVERVIEW Job Title: Physician Assistant Pathology (Specialized) Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Georgetown, SC Service Setting: Hospital Pathology/Laboratory Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: 07/28/2025 Open Clinical Shift Schedule: Flexible schedule; 08:00a 05:00p COVERAGE DATES July 28, 2025 Open-ended coverage Must be available to cover urgent needs related to FMLA leave (thru Oct 15, 2025) PATIENT INFORMATION Case Mix: Pathology cases, grossing large specimens FACILITY INFORMATION Office Equipment Available: Laboratory equipment for specimen processing Specialty Backup Available: Pathology team Support Staff Available: Hospital pathology staff Reason for Coverage: FMLA coverage COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Rate: Competitive; Daily OT after 8 hours (fixed), Weekly OT after 168 hours (fixed) Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES Grossing large specimens JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active South Carolina license required (if applicable) Experience: Must have pathology experience, specifically in grossing large specimens Other Qualifications: Path Assistant or PA with pathology background; clean file DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Gross large pathology specimens with accuracy and efficiency Support pathology team in laboratory operations Ensure compliance with laboratory standards and hospital policies Collaborate with medical staff and pathology team as needed FACILITY INFORMATION Regional hospital offering a full spectrum of medical services.
