Requirements Management: Define, document, and manage system requirements throughout the entire development lifecycle. This involves capturing stakeholder needs, analyzing and allocating requirements, and maintaining traceability between system elements. Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential risks and uncertainties associated with system design, integration, and operation. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks, ensure system safety, and enhance reliability. Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate and comprehensive technical documentation, including system specifications, design documents, test plans, and user manuals. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including engineers, project managers, and stakeholders, to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and alignment of project goals and objectives. Participate in meetings, reviews, and presentations. Verification and Validation: Plan and execute verification and validation activities to ensure that the developed systems meet the specified requirements and performance metrics. This includes developing test procedures, conducting tests, analyzing results, and documenting findings. System Lifecycle Management: Support system lifecycle management activities, including system upgrades, configuration management, and maintenance planning. Monitor system performance, assess operational issues, and propose improvements or enhancements. Requirements: U.S. Citizens Only Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, preferably in a relevant field such as Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Systems Engineering. Advanced degrees or certifications may be preferred for senior or specialized positions. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices. Knowledge of optical test equipment relevant technologies, such as avionics, sensors, communication systems, and software integration. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex system requirements, identify potential issues or risks, and propose innovative solutions. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to address integration challenges and ensure system performance. Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and clients. Hands on experience: Ability to execute optical system testing at the company labs, ability to collect and interpret optical test results.
