Job Title: CNC MachinistJob DescriptionThe CNC Machinist will set up and operate CNC Mill and Lathe machines to perform tasks such as turning, drilling, milling, and part complete operations. The role involves optimizing set-up times, maximizing machine utilization, and ensuring parts meet specifications and tolerances by utilizing Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). The CNC Machinist will troubleshoot programs, make necessary adjustments, and communicate with managers, programmers, and quality personnel to resolve quality issues.ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC Mill and Lathe machines.Optimize set-up times and maximize machine utilization.Understand task specifications by reading blueprints and route instructions.Utilize Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure parts meet specifications and tolerances.Troubleshoot programs and make necessary adjustments.Set up CNC equipment to complete full cycles for both high and low volume parts.Improve productivity, maintain offsets, and inspect parts with a high degree of precision.Follow the in-process part inspection process and notify the Supervisor/Lead in case of non-conformance.Communicate with managers, programmers, and quality personnel for assignments and to resolve quality issues.Essential Skills2+ years of experience operating CNC Mill and Lathe machines in a manufacturing environment, including performing setups.Experience with 3-4 axis CNC machines.Proficiency in reading blueprints and using measuring tools.Experience with G Code programming.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with brands such as Mazak, Brother, Doosan, Takumi, Siemens is a plus but not required.Why Work Here?Enjoy a paid 25-minute lunch break while on contract and a $100 voucher to purchase new steel toes once hired on full-time.
