If youre passionate about trucks, enjoy hands-on work, and want to be part of a team that supports your success, this is the opportunity for you *At a Glance* *Schedule*: Full-time, MondayFriday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM *Address*: 2900 Stafford Avenue Scranton, PA 18505 *What Youll Do* As a *Field Service Technician*, youll diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks at customer job sites with efficiency and professionalism. You will: * Perform unsupervised repairs and diagnostics in accordance with dealership and factory standards * Complete major component repairs and overhauls, including engine, driveline, electrical, and A/C systems * Diagnose malfunctions based on inspections and customer concerns * Communicate with service and parts departments to coordinate workflow and secure needed parts * Save, tag, and track warranty parts; open OEM and vendor diagnostic cases as required * Document all repairs and recommendations on work orders with accuracy * Road test vehicles and perform inspections for safety or additional service needs * Install optional equipment, report defects, and keep customers informed of repair status * Maintain greater than 80% productivity and 95% efficiency * Keep service truck clean, neat, and safe; wash weekly * Assist fellow technicians and participate in ongoing manufacturer training programs * Adhere to federal, state, and local safety regulations, including OSHA and hazardous waste handling * Maintain dealership-owned tools and work area cleanliness * Promote health and safety policies in all work environments *What Were Looking For* * Vocational/technical school graduate with 5+ years related experience, or equivalent training * Strong background in engine and driveline troubleshooting, electrical systems, and A/C repair * Ability to overhaul major components and perform advanced diagnostics * Strong communication and problem-solving skills * Good supply of personal hand tools required *Required Certifications & Licenses:* * Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications * Drive Train Certification for Medium/Heavy Truck * HVAC Certification for Medium/Heavy Truck * State Vehicle Inspector Certification (Class 7) * MX Engine Certification * Cummins MD and HD Certification * Commercial Drivers License (CDL) Class B or higher (must meet company insurability standards) * Valid Drivers License (must meet company insurability standards) *Physical Requirements* * Regular standing, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crawling * Frequent lifting of 50+ lbs; ability to lift/move more than 100 lbs occasionally * Visual abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment *Work Environment* * Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and outside weather * Occasional work at heights or in loud environments * Team-based shop and field setting *Why Join Hunter Truck?* Competitive Pay + Incentives Medical, Dental, Vision, Life & Disability Insurance 401(k) with Company Match Paid Training & Career Growth Opportunities Stable, Family-Owned Company Since 1938 Team-Oriented Culture Hunter Truck is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
