Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic services to patients in an out-patient setting within an assisted living community. Your role will be crucial in helping individuals regain independence and improve their quality of life. Duties: - Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist - Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, activities, and interventions - Monitor and document patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary - Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist to develop and modify treatment goals - Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and strategies for continued progress at home - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records Qualifications: - Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program - Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant - Experience in rehabilitation, or geriatrics is preferred - Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages for our employees.
