We are proud to work with companies recognized as Top Workplaces, Military Friendly Employers, and Top Companies for Women in Transportation.Military Veterans and Reservists are encouraged to applyWhen you join our team, you can expect these great benefits:A work culture that truly values its Team MembersPaid Time Off (PTO) & Paid HolidaysProfit SharingUniforms and Laundry ServiceComprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, and 401(k)As a Mechanic, you'll work alongside your team on preventive maintenance and repair of a wide variety of tractors, trailers, and equipment in the LaPlace, LA area.Key Responsibilities:Perform heavy and minor repairs on trucks and trailersMaintain a clean and organized shop, along with accurate parts inventoryUtilize computer-based diagnostic systems, experience, and skills to assess repairs, and determine warranty issuesCarry out a detailed preventative maintenance program, including fueling, greasing, oil and fluid changes, and truck inspections for needed repairsAccurately log all work performed in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)Ensure that all maintenance work is compliant with regulatory standardsFollow proper safety procedures and protocols in all maintenance tasksAssist in creating and updating maintenance procedures as necessaryWhat We're Looking For:Diesel Mechanic experience or completion of a Diesel Certification programFamiliarity with the Manager Plus maintenance system is a plusStrong experience with suspension systems, rear ends, transmissions, air brakes, minor engine work (such as injectors, turbos), and moreProficiency in using computer-based diagnostic tools to identify needed repairsA Class A CDL is a plus, but not requiredPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand or walk on uneven surfaces for extended periodsNavigating the facility may involve exposure to harsh weather, ladders, racks, slick or uneven surfaces, and other industrial hazardsAbility to lift up to 100lbs independentlyAdditional Information:A complete job description will be provided during the interview processWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and maintain a drug-free workplaceCalifornia Residents: Please refer to our Job Application Privacy NoticeWe look forward to hearing from you
